The Analysis Volume 1 Issue #1

Teams: Montreal Vs. Toronto; Score: 5-1 in favor of the Leafs; Series: 2-1(of 8) for Toronto
Tonight again, proves a sad sad truth in Montreal, they never leave you guessing why they lost; they make it just as obvious as Crosby's talent. Tonight it was a classic problem, not that both teams didn't play well, when at even strength Montreal and Toronto both played worthy games, dare I say that the Habs had the majority of the "good times" during even strength play. Alas, the problem was this: Those rough and tumble Montrealers just couldn't keep their sticks, or attitudes, to themselves. This put them in a pile of penalty trouble and left them shorthanded for the majority of the second period and a good chunk of the first. 2 five on three powerplays for the leafs lead to two powerplay goals. Some excellent even strength play, some shaky goaltending by David Aebischer, and some defensive mistakes by the habs lead to the other three goals. Not to say I'm blaming this game on the goalie, but tonight just didn't seem to be his night, it wasn't there, he wasn't getting the help he needed and he got frustrated, things just weren't clicking for Dave tonight. So they'll take the loss in stride and use it as an educational opportunity. Sheldon Sourray would say the very same, you can't win games when you hang out in the box.

I agree with you, but it was a heck of alot more then the powerplay that won the Leafs this game tonight. Thats all I have to say towards this hockey game.

Great first post for "The Anylist", look forward to reading some more of these post! I have a question .. the question is ... Will you be writing a post on the UNB games?
