Its Christmas morning so I decided I would be the one who does the Merry Christmas post.(No one else would of done it anyways) Christmas is a great thing, however, we can not forget the sport of hockey and my UNB VARSITY REDS! This Friday the boys are back in town for the Christmas tournament, so I hope to see you there. The Sidney Crosby/ Evgeni Malkin show
Love them or hate them, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin have been two of the most enertaining boys to ever watch in the NHL. Definitly the supreme duo in the NHL today. Crosby and Malkin have already put up big numbers this season(especially Crosby) as much as I would hate to say it, I would love to see Crosby get the Art Ross trophy, as Malkin recieves the Calder trophy. What are these two heros going to bring to this franchise? well I would say they are going to give the league one heck of a run!

This talk of drafting reminded me of a previous discussion about next years hockey pool drafting system, different ideas were presented but I want to know what you the poolies/viewers think about this. I'm anxious to see the results and hope for some feedback so I can make the people happy.
Well poolies, we have encountered yet another beginning of an interesting chapter tonight.Owner of theBeLEAFerswas having an "arguement" with the owner ofTeam Awesome, this battle was over the NHL players currently on the team owned by Jacob Ebbett. If you can remember earlier this year, Ebbett lost all privelages and was suspended from the league for what was said to be the year, and thats what we believed up to now. It is indeed the biggest and most enertaining battling rivalries in the NHL. Both teams are coming into this game with decent records, one team currently hotter then the other. The habs are coming of a game loss but thats nothing compared to the Leafs, who has lost their last 3 games, ever since Mats Sundin has returned to the lineup. That confuses me, as well as many other hockey fans. The Leafs won the last meeting with authority as they defeated the Canadiens in a score of 5-1. The leafs were dominant that game as they outshot the Habs an outstanding 42-26. Abeschier was pulled in the 3rd period after the 4th goal. Aubin was pressured but was only scored on once by captain Saku Koivu. Montreal has not started Cristobal Huet against the Leafs yet, as well as the Leafs have not started Andrew Raycroft against the Canadians. Who will be the starting goalies for Saturday nights big game? Here are the highlights to the last Habs-Leafs game, the only one that never seen shootout this season.
